Free cash withdrawals from ATMs owned by other banks during the State of Emergency
27 de Marzo, 2020As of next Monday, Cajamar will not charge for cash withdrawals made from ATMs owned by other banks during the exceptional circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
All customers who need to make credit or debit cash withdrawals can use the nearest ATMs regardless of which bank it belongs to, thus avoiding unnecessary trips and possible contagion.
In addition, Cajamar has also raised the limit of contactless payments from 20 to 50 euros in order to reduce the number of times you might need to touch the terminal when you enter the PIN and thus avoid the possibility of spreading the virus.
Grupo Cajamar is advising customers to use debit and credit cards as a means of payment, as well as mobile payment apps, and avoid paying in cash.
In addition to this measure, over the past few days, Grupo Cajamar has announced new finance facilities to support SMEs and the self-employed through the COVID-19 crisis, as well as an ICO finance facility for freelancers and companies in the tourism sector. Other measures include extensions to the repayment terms of short-term loans and bridging loans; the elimination and reduction of fees charged on Tactile Point of Sale Terminals (POS); mortgage payment holidays; advance payments of Social Security benefits and Navy payments; and card issuance with no fees, among others. The aim of all these measures is to support businesses, the self-employed, families and older people through this crisis.
Grupo Cajamar encourages its customers to stay at home and use home banking channels for any queries and banking operations, such as online banking, the mobile banking app, or phone banking, which they can use for almost all their banking needs, especially their everyday or regular operations. However, in accordance with the State of Emergency decreed by the Government, it is keeping its branches and ATMs open to deal with strictly necessary banking operations, putting safety measures in place to ensure the safety of employees and customers alike.
